The Argentine Chamber of Producers of Pharmaceutical Chemicals (CAPDROFAR), was established in 1981 as the association that gathers the main pharmochemical producers in Argentina.
CAPDROFAR promotes local manufacturing of chemical substances used in the pharmaceutical products.
It is a nonprofit civil association the has the following aims: to assume the most efficient defense of the pharmochemical industry, producers of bulk drugs and in general, all raw material of any origin, used in human, animal and/or vegetal health, strive to contribute to the improvement of techniques, methods and procedures applied to the pharmochemical industry, as well as to its development to increase exports and diminish and replace imports; to guarantee and defend the principles of free private initiative, free trade and free association according to the rights and warranties established by the Argentine Constitution.

Most of these producers began their activities 50 years ago. They participated actively in the foreign trade through exports and technology transfer.
The active pharmaceutical chemicals (bulk drugs) produced by our members fully comply with requirements of local and international markets. They are produced according to stringy technical and health normative specifications.
